Abler Nordic joins Active Owners and the Danish Impact Committee

Abler Nordic is a newly minted member of Active Owners Denmark and the newly established Danish Impact Network.
Our membership aligns with our priorities, reflecting a strong commitment to both active ownership and impact. Our mission is to build sustainable financial institutions that enable low-income households in developing countries to create a better future.
Abler Nordic has strong Danish roots, having expanded our public private partnership from Norway to include Denmark in 2016.
We are fortunate to count Danish institutions IFU (Danish governmental investment fund for developing countries), Pædagogernes Pension (PBU), Lauritzen Fonden and Koldingvej 2 Billund A/S among our owners and investors.
Why Active Ownership Matters
Active ownership is at the heart of Abler Nordic's investment strategy. Â We believe that by taking an active role in the companies we invest in, we can influence and drive meaningful change.
We create sustainable impact by helping to develop well-managed, financially healthy, scalable financial institutions, and seek to take board positions in all our equity investments.Â
Our preference for investing equity allows us to be deeply involved in the management and strategic direction of the companies we support, ensuring that they are aligned with our values and impact goals.
Active Owners Denmark
Active Owners Denmark (Aktive Ejere), formerly known as the Danish Venture Capital and Private Equity Association, is the trade association for a wide range of investors in Denmark. They aim to bring together the entire ecosystem of investors in Denmark and helps members politically, communicatively and by collaborating through internal and external networks.Â
The name change to Active Owners Denmark reflects the association's commitment to embodying the entire ecosystem of active owners and highlighting the importance of active ownership in investments.
Establishment of the New Impact Committee
In response to the growing importance of impact investments, Active Owners Denmark has established the Danish Impact Committee. This committee brings together representatives from various sectors to promote and support the increasing trend of impact investments in Denmark.
The Danish Impact Committee works to create a platform where companies and investors can collaborate on sustainable and transformative projects that not only generate profit but also make a positive difference in the world around us.
