Our Investors
Abler Nordic (formerly Nordic Microfinance Initiative - NMI) is a public-private partnership investing in and building up financial inclusion institutions in Sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia, and Southeast Asia, primarily through equity investments but also through loans.
We are supported by unique and robust investors, including Norfund and IFU (the Norwegian and Danish governmental funds for developing countries), as well as private sector institutions such as DNB Livsforsikring, Ferd, KLP, Lauritzen Fonden, PBU, Storebrand, TD Veen, and Koldingvej 2, Billund A/S.
Since its inception in 2008, Abler Nordic has launched five funds: Global, Frontier, Fund III, Fund IV, and Climate Smart Fund. The latter is a pilot project currently funded with ~10 million USD from the Norwegian Ministry of Climate and Environment.
With respect to the Norwegian Transparency Act, information relating to different investors' ownership and investments in our funds can be obtained by contacting us at info@ablernordic.com.
